DECEMBER 2021

On December 28, in Tokyo (Japan), the IBF world champion in the middle division, 39-year-old boxer from Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin 41(36)-1(0)-1 will fight against the WBA Super title holder, 35-year-old Japanese Ryota Murata 16(13)-2(0)-0. Before the above said match, the champions can hold title defenses one single time each.

AUGUST 2021

Representatives of the World Boxing Organization have scheduled a fight between Emanuel Navarrete, the world champion in the featherweight division, and Joet Gonzalez, the Number 2 ranked WBO. The fight is scheduled for August-September of 2021. No promotional bidding procedure is required. Both athletes are fighting under the Top Rank promotion company.

WBC world champion in the super featherweight division, 30-year-old Mexican Oscar Valdez 29(23)-0-0 will hold his next fight against the 32-year-old Brazilian Robson Conceicao 16(8)-0-0. In 2009, in the final of the Pan American Games in Mexico City, Conceicao defeated Valdez. Judges’ scores were: 6-5. The fight is scheduled for August-September 2021.

On August 14, 31-year-old Frenchman Mathieu Bauderlick 20(11)-1(1)-0 will fight against 35-year-old Russian Igor Mikhalkin 24(11)-2(1)-0. The vacant European light heavyweight title will be at stake. The location of the bout will be known in the near future.

JULY 2021

48-year-old Oscar De La Hoya will return to the ring on July 3. The former champion in six weight divisions will perform on the Triller platform. The match will take place in the middleweight division. Oscar’s opponent will be determined in the near future.

PBC is planning a massive boxing night in Texas. Jermell Charlo, the WBC, WBA Super and IBF world champion in the super welterweight division, will fight Brian Castagno, the WBO title holder. Errol Spence, the WBC and IBF welterweight champion, will fight Yordenis Ugas, the WBA Super title holder. The boxing night will take place on July 3 or 10 in one of the cities of the state of Texas. There is also an option being considered of two sepparate boxing nights (one week apart) with the headlines "Charlo - Castagno" and "Spence - Ugas"

On June 12, in Newcastle (England), the Number 5 ranked IBF in the super lightweight division, 24-year-old Argentine Jeremias Ponce 27 (17)-0-0 will fight with the Number 6 ranked IBF, 27-year-old Brit Lewis Ritson 21(12)-1(0)-0. The winner of the fight will face Soubriel Mathias in the IBF Super Lightweight Division final eliminator.

On June 18 in Montreal (Canada) the first championship fight in bridgerweight division will take place. The vacant WBC title will be contested between Oscar Rivas, Number 1 ranked WBC, and Bryant Jennings, Number 6 ranked WBC. On January 18, 2019, Rivas knocked out Jennings in the 12th round.

On June 19 in El Paso, Texas (USA) Number 1 ranked WBO, Number 1 ranked WBC, Number 4 ranked IBF and Number 6 ranked WBA in the middleweight division, 24-year-old Mexican Jamie Munguia 36(29)-0-0 will fight with Number 4 ranked WBC, 31-year-old Polish Maciej Sulecki 29(11)-2(0)-0. Mekhrubon Sanginov wins WBA Continental Welterweight Title by 2nd round TKO against Andres Viera.

Otar Eranosyan wins WBA Continental Super Feather Title by UD against Jose Argel.

NABA Featherweight champion Andranik Grigoryan defended his NABA title against Caril Emir Herrera Collado with a KO in round 4.

Representatives of the European Boxing Union have sanctioned a fight between Joseph Joyce, the current European champion in the heavyweight division, and Marco Hook, the mandatory challenger. Joyce will have to fight the mandatory challenger or vacate the title.

MAY 2021

Dereck Chisora will start preparing for a fight against Joseph Parker under the guidance of James McGirt. The fight will take place on May 1 in London.

Maxim Vlasov has showed a positive test for coronavirus (COVID-19). His fight with Joe Smith, scheduled for February 13, has been postponed to a later date.
